Returning the rental car requires some administration. If you have a flight to catch, make sure you schedule enough time so you can drive to the location in peace and have time to complete the formalities.

Return procedure

The opening hours of the car rental locations are listed on your rental voucher. The phone number and address of the location can also be found there. When you return the car, it will be checked for any damage, whilst comparing the findings with the inspection form that you signed when picking up the car. If everything is in agreement, you can continue your onward journey. Should any damage be found that was not previously noted, the rental location will charge you the corresponding amount.

Returning the car after closing time

If you have agreed to return the car outside regular business hours, you can park it at the agreed location and deposit the key in a designated drop box. However, it is important to remember that you remain responsible for the car until the office reopens.

Keeping documents at hand

It is wise to keep hold of all the documents which you have received and signed. Handling any questions or complaints after your return will go more smoothly if you have all relevant documentation on hand.
